Client Reviews
“Ellen is an incredible teacher, healer. Her knowledge of the body is emanated through everything she does. The space is beautiful and food amazing. Highly recommend this program!”
“The Compassion Cultivation cycle and the neurobiology is so useful for opening client’s up to the emobodiment of deep belonging to themselves and the planet we inhabit. Ellen has developed a unique approach that I find makes intuitive sense and is backed by science.”
“This course ties together so many aspects of healing: Therapy, the nervous system, nature, history, society, community, etc. If you want to know the science behind these concepts, in an experiential learning format, then this training is for you! Highly recommend!”
What Sets Our Program Apart
Reconnect With The Land
Our retreats are hosted at the merging of two mighty rivers, nestled in the mountains surrounded by lakes, forests, and hiking trails. You will deepen your relationship with earth and bring that back into your practice. Our food is sourced from the surrounding farms, nourishing us on every level. There is remarkable evidence that eco-healing is supportive to our nervous system; let’s experience it. And then carry the experience into your life.
A Somatic Certificate
This certificate is one of a kind and is meant to be experientially healing for the practitioner, alongside a workbook full of tools, worksheets, and scripts to support the integration of somatics into your professional practice. As healers and space holders, our body is our tool — we must learn to listen, tend, and grow from our own body’s wisdom. This certificate teaches through science and lived experience.
Connection & Co-Learning
Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself. Ellen Slater is an experienced facilitator and relational teacher; she has been holding space for decades. The learning circle is kept small to foster authentic dialogue, ample time for Q&A, and offers a blend of curiosity and reverence for somatic work. Together we will discover the ancient wisdom of the body.
