Integrative Coaching & Therapy

What To Expect

  • Couples & Family Therapy

As a relationship expert trained in neurobiology and systems, you will find sessions to be skills based and empowering. In our couples/family therapy, we are not looking for the absence of conflict, rather we are looking for compassionate conflict. Conflict is a natural and necessary way to express needs and build intimacy — we just need to learn how to do it well!

Through the integrative and evidence based Head & Heart model all members of the family or couple will learn how to listen, and be heard. We lean on our step by step guide, the Compassionate Conflict Cycle to teach whole body communication that is realistic and effective. You will experience personal growth as well as relational skills. Our sessions will offer tangible strategies and a path forward.

This family therapy is one-of-a kind and will support every member while also nourishing the whole.

  • Retreats

Join the Compassion Cultivation Cycle retreats if you are looking for deep and sustainable healing. These trauma informed holistic retreat programs deliver knowledge & skills, guided compassion journeys, crystal singing bowls, farm to table meals, yoga, and more. They are based in the Head & Heart model of treatment which is an evidence and body based integrative treatment framework designed by founder Ellen Slater.

This program is about rest, rejuvenation, as well as learning. A true integration. The retreats also offer continuing education for therapists and a Compassion Certificate for all who attend. A significant amount of growth happens, and echoes through your life, when you carve out this time and energy to this evidence based therapeutic process.

  • Individual Therapy or Coaching

Through interactive sessions that include goal formation, somatic (body) awareness, and intuition practices we will collaboratively form a road map for our work together. With this road map we will lean on contemporary science and ancient wisdom to create healthy and sustainable change in your life.

Sessions can include direct learning of evidence based skills towards stated goals, guided mindfulness practices to regulate the nervous system, crystal singing bowls to aid in integration, and journaling or even art to build intuition and embodied wisdom.

This multidimensional and multi sensory therapeutic experience is highly nourishing and you will leave with nervous system healing alongside personal clarity and sustainable evidence backed skills.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

  • Coaching

Coaching is a form of support that offers guidance, skill building, and whole body healing, yet the primary difference is coaching does not directly treat a mental health diagnosis. My coaching sessions often focus on areas of life that may need psychological support, yet do not directly treat a medical diagnosis. For example coaching addresses skills around healthy boundaries, communication, parenting, or self-compassion. Being human is not easy, it is an honor to walk through the wilderness with my clients. I offer coaching nationally and internationally.

  • Therapy

Therapy requires a masters level degree or higher along with a medical license for the state you are offering services. In addition to what coaching offers, therapy also makes mental health diagnoses and formulates treatment plans to address said diagnoses. As a medical provider, therapists may work in collaboration with other providers such as psychiatrists, primary care, or naturopathic doctors to ensure wrap around care. I offer therapy in WA state.
